You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software.
• Modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices (including copyright or trademark notices) of smallLab28 or its licensors.
• Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that violates any applicable local, national, or international law.
• Abuse, bypass, or exploit the translation APIs or any licensing mechanisms integrated within the Software.

3. Third-Party Services and Translation Accuracy

PrivatePDF Translator utilizes external third-party APIs to provide text translation functionalities. By using the Software, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Accuracy Not Guaranteed: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or contextual correctness of the translated text. The quality of the output depends entirely on the third-party translation engines.
• Layout Fidelity: While the Software is optimized to retain up to 99% of the original document's layout, complex formatting, specific fonts, or improperly structured scanned PDFs may result in rendering discrepancies.
• Service Availability: We are not responsible for any downtime, rate limits, or service interruptions caused by third-party API providers.

4. Privacy and Data Handling

Your privacy is critically important to us. As a local-first application, the Software processes PDF layouts and document structures entirely on your local machine. 5. Intellectual Property

The Software, including its original code, features, algorithms, and local processing modules, is owned by smallLab28 and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your use of the Software does not grant you any ownership rights.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. SMALLLAB28 EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, BUG-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SMALLLAB28, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (I) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SOFTWARE; (II) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATION; OR (III) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license and access to the Software immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Software will immediately cease, and you must destroy all copies of the Software in your possession.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Software after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
